What is the PEI? The Institutional Educational Project (IEP) is a fundamental document in every educational institution in Colombia. It contains the identity, mission, vision and objectives of the institution, in addition to the pedagogical and administrative guidelines that govern its operation. Legal basis: It is based on the General Education Law (Law 115 of 1994) and Decree 1860 of 1994, which establish its mandatory nature and minimum content. Juliana Montenegro: To improve education in Colombia, we must stop standardizing learning and start personalizing it because not everyone learns the same way. In addition, we must give priority to the personal interests of each student and focus on them, not wasting time on filler subjects. Laura Sofia Carabali Conda: Instead of simply memorizing, schools could offer more hands-on projects, teamwork, and creative activities. For example, students could work on real-life problems in their communities, or have interactive classes using technology. This would make learning more fun and useful for the future! 💻 Resources and Materials In the reading corner, there is a low shelf with books organized by topic and reading level. Near the entrance, there is a supply station with paper, pencils, art tools, and teaching materials so students can quickly grab what they need. ♿ Inclusion and Accessibility All furniture is height-adjustable for students of different ages, sizes, or mobility needs. The classroom has wide aisles for wheelchairs and walkers, and the front whiteboard is interactive and mounted low so all students can use it. I also added visual aids, calming sensory tools, and noise-cancelling headphones in a special "focus zone" for students who may need them. 🎨 Why did I choose this design? To make every student feel at home. This classroom encourages choice, movement, and respect for different learning styles.
